Male Support Worker
Standard Nursing Agency is urgently seeking experienced Male Support/Care worker for Brent area,to provide personal care and assistance to Service Users that consist of children and young adults up to 18+ years of age diagnosed with a learning disability, physical needs, challenging behaviour, ASD, global development delays and severe sensory seeking. Many service users use Makaton to communicate their needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with PEG feeding
- Stoma care
- Safe use of hoists and other moving & handling equipment
- Medication management
- Epilepsy management
- Catheter care
- Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect
- Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
- Nursing background is desirable (but not essential)
- Require minimum 1 year experience in Health and Social Care.
- Report writing
- Learning Disability & Autism Support
- Managing Challenging Behaviour
- Behaviour Management
- Good understanding of Safeguarding
