Many service users use Makaton to communicate their needs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with PEG feeding
• Stoma care
• Safe use of hoists and other moving & handling equipment
• Medication management
• Epilepsy management
• Catheter care
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect
• Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
• Nursing background is desirable (but not essential)
• Require minimum 1 year experience in Health and Social Care.
• Report writing
• Learning Disability & Autism Support
• Managing Challenging Behaviour
• Behaviour Management
• Good understanding of Safeguarding

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to work 2 days per week in the office, carrying out client visits, completing initial assessments, reviewing care plans, and conducting spot checks and the rest of the week to work in the community providing care to Service users. The Senior Support Worker we are looking for must also be compassionate and reliable individual who would be able to provide exceptional standard of care and support to Service Users with complex care needs in their homes or community settings.
